Watford House, Avoca 2019

The village of Mas Cabardes is situated on the slope of the Black Mountain in southern France near Carcasonne.

In summer it is very green and there is the sound of water everywhere. Beside a small road down into the village is a covered culvert with the sound of water running through it at intervals where metal plates cover openings. This sound of water can be heard intermittently, running down the slope of the Watford House garden, where, in summer, the sound of running water is a fantasy.
